Moonee Ponds residents can rely on the Naturopaths at Melbourne Functional Medicine for comprehensive holistic treatments. Our Naturopaths are trained in functional medicine, an evidence-based whole-person approach that identifies and addresses the root cause of your health issues.
Located just 20 minutes away in South Melbourne, the Melbourne Functional Medicine team is here to provide clarity and guidance to address your health problems and imbalances.
In addition to being fully trained in naturopathy, the Naturopaths at Melbourne Functional Medicine are also trained in functional medicine, providing them with a deeper level of expertise in chronic disease and healthcare.
Our Naturopaths follow a unique, holistic model to identify and resolve not just your symptoms, but the cause of your problems. Functional Medicine combines science-based research and lifestyle-led healthcare in order to provide sustainable, lasting solutions. With a focus on getting you results, we’ve built a 6 month program that gives you the support of a practitioner and health coach. Here’s how it works:
Getting a detailed understanding of your health takes a dedicated amount of time.
Your functional medicine naturopath will spend your initial 4-hour consultation exploring your health history to get a better understanding of the contributing factors and root cause of your health concerns.
We want you to feel completely supported while you are getting better.
During the 6-month program, you will have ongoing, uncapped access to your practitioner and your health coach, who will be there to provide as much support as you need to reach your goals.
Sometimes your practitioner will recommend testing to investigate the root cause of your health concerns.
At Melbourne Functional Medicine we use the best pathology labs to help uncover factors such as hormones, genetics, pathogens, nutrient status and more.
Our Naturopaths in Moonee Ponds have a wealth of experience investigating a range of chronic health conditions.
Our unique program achieves incredible results for patients with a range of conditions. See what they say about their experience with Melbourne Functional Medicine below.
Our naturopaths work a little differently to those you may have worked with in the past. We know that with chronic health issues, getting well again takes time. This is why when you join our six month program, you get as many appointments with your naturopath, as well as your health coach, as you need to be well again. This ongoing support provided by a healthcare team will help you navigate the new territory you'll be covering back to wellness.
We will book your initial consultation and then after that, you’ll be able to access our simple e-bookings portal to book all your appointments with your naturopath or health coach at a time convenient to you. Once you have followed the prompts to select an available date and time, you’ll receive a booking confirmation email and text, as well as reminders of your appointment closer to the date.
Yes! We offer telehealth appointments with our functional medicine trained naturopaths to new and existing patients in Moonee Ponds and Australia-wide. This means whether you’re in Moonee Ponds and surrounding areas in Melbourne, or are in Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane or Sydney you can access telehealth sessions with your naturopath, or your health coach from the comfort of home.
Once you’ve signed up to our program, we’ll send you a meeting link to click each time you have a session. All you need to do is make sure you have a good internet connection on your computer or a phone, and a cosy, quiet place to sit.
Your body is unique and so too are your genetics, environment, experiences, eating and lifestyle habits. At Melbourne Functional Medicine, we take the time to consider your whole health picture through an individualised approach.
At your initial consultation, your functional medicine naturopath will spend four hours with you understanding your health picture. Your naturopath will spend the first half of your consultation asking you questions about your lifestyle, diet, genetics and other areas that will give them further insight into the root cause and factors contributing to your health condition. In the second half of your initial consultation, your naturopath will share any insights into your health issues, discuss your treatment plan and answer any questions you may have. They may also recommend further testing to help uncover the root causes of your condition.
Towards the end of your session, your health coach will join you and your naturopath to go through your plan, discuss next steps and any other aspects of the program that your health coach will support you with.
At Melbourne Functional Medicine, all our naturopaths are trained in functional medicine - an approach directed at trying to treat the whole person rather than just the symptom or disease. For people in Moonee Ponds, your naturopath will work with you to uncover the root cause of your chronic health condition by combining modern science with traditional medicine to help you heal.
To help you get the results you set out to achieve, we have designed a program that offers you uncapped access to a health coach who will support and guide you across all aspects of your treatment plan.
